Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv brought in reinforcements at the forward positions by signing Oz Blayzer for the coming season, the club announced Tuesday. Blayzer (2.00 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Maccabi Rishon Lezion, where he averaged 5.3 points and 4.1 rebounds in 10 games in the 7DAYS EuroCup last season. He also collected 9.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.1 steals in 32 games in the Israeli League. He started his career with Hapoel Afula of Israel and also played for Bnei Hertzeliya and Maccabi Haifa before joining Rishon Lezion in 2018. He helped the club win the 2019 Israeli National Cup. Blayzer will be making his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut. "I am ready for the new challenge, to prove my place and fight for the team. There is no Israeli player who grew up here and does not know the meaning of a club like Maccabi," he said.
