FC Barcelona has announced agreement on a new contract lasting until 2023 with Leandro Bolmaro, one of the most talked-about young playmakers in the world. Bolmaro (1.98 meters, 19 years old) made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut last season, appearing in six games for an average of just 9 minutes each. But that was enough to allow him 2.3 assists per appearance, some of the them highlight-worthy. He appeared in nine Spanish League games, as well, putting up 5.1 points per game.
Bolmaro's pro career began in his native Argentina with Bahia Blanca, where he played the 2017-18 season before moving to Barcelona. He and Barcelona agreed to a three-year contract on Thursday. "I am very happy for the confidence the club has placed in me and excited about my new contract," Bolmaro said. "I will try to give everything to win a place in the team and win the respect of the coaches, players and the fans."
