Panathinaikos OPAP Athens has reinforrced its frontcourt before the start of the 2020-21 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season by bringing back veteran center Ian Vougioukas on a one-year contract. Vougioukas (2.11 meters, 35 years old) was a EuroLeague champion with Panathinaikos in 2011, during his first, two-season stint with the club. The upcoming season will be his fourth in a row there since returning to the Greens in 20127. All told, Vougioukas has played eight EuroLeague seasons with five differnt clubs, having spent a year each with Olympiacos Piraeus, Galatasaray Istanbul and Zalgiris Kauans. He has averaged 5.1 points and 2.1 rebounds over 157 career games.Voubioukis has also played four seasons in the 7DAYS EuroCup, including two with UNICS Kazan and one each with Panellinios Athens and Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar. In the EuroCup his career averages are 10.9 points and 4.3 rebounds over 70 games.
