Veteran scorer Taylor Rochestie is headed back to the city where he enjoyed one of his best seasons after signing with Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade on Wednesday. The contract is for two months with an option for the remainder of the season. Rochestie (1.86 meters, 35 years old) played for Olympiacos Piraeus last season, where he averaged 4.6 points and 3.6 assists in 21 games off the bench. He returns to Belgrade where he starred for Zvezda in 2017-18, averaging 13.4 points in 30 EuroLeague games and helped the club win the Serbian championship.
This will be Rochestie's seventh EuroLeague season since he debuted in 2012 with Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz. He was also the 2014-15 Alphonso Ford Trophy winner as the top scorer in the EuroLeague with Nizhny Novgorod of Russia, for which he netted 18.9 points per game. Rochestie has also played in the EuroLeague for Maccabi Tel Aviv and Montepaschi Siena; in the 7DAYS EuroCup for Galatasaray Istanbul, Le Mans and Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar and in China for Tianjin Gold Lions and Anhui Wenyi.
