Zalgiris's Garino undergoes surgery

Zalgiris Kaunas swingman Patricio Garino will be out of action for six weeks at least due to a second knee operation, the club announced. Garino (2.01 meters, 27 years old) underwent meniscus surgery in Kaunas on Thursday and won't be able to help his team, currently undefeated in the EuroLeague. In fact, Garino has not made yet his EuroLeague debut with Zalgiris this season. While playing for Baskonia last season, he suffered the knee injury and still couldn't practice at full power when he landed in Lithuania this summer. It was believed that he was on his way to full recovery, but after suffering some more pains in Kaunas, it was decided that for the injury to completely heal it would require a second intervention that took place on Thursday.
