Zvezda adds big man O'Bryant

Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade bolstered its frontcourt by inking power forward Johnny O'Bryant for the remainder of the season, the club announced Monday. O'Bryant (2.04 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar, where he averaged 13.8 points and 5.1 rebounds in 10 7DAYS EuroCup games last season. He boosted those numbers up to 16.4 points and 5.7 rebounds in 20 VTB League games.

He brings in some Turkish Airlines EuroLeague experience, as O'Bryant spent the 2018-19 season with Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv, where he averaged 10.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 30 appearances. A member of the USA national team at the youth levels, O'Bryant began his professional career in the NBA, where he played for Milwaukee, Denver and Charlotte. He was also a 2017 D-League All-Star selection for Northern Arizona. He helped Maccabi win the Israeli League title in 2019.
