Maccabi: Hunter sidelined with cut to eye

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv center Othello Hunter will be sidelined for 2-3 weeks after suffering an eye injury in Tuesday's loss to Zenit St. Petersburg. Hunter played only 2:14 minutes in the opening quarter before he was accidentally poked in the eye by teammate Oz Blayzer. He was taken to the hospital, where they were able to determine that his retina was not damaged. Hunter has a cut under the eye, which will take time to heal. In his second season with Maccabi, the 34-year-old center has averaged 8.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in 16 games, mostly of the bench. Before joining Maccabi, Hunter won the EuroLeague in 2019 with CSKA Moscow.
