NBA years

...Gasol was traded for his own brother. The deal sent Pau to the Los Angeles Lakers, who traded rights to sign his brother Marc to Memphis. Both Marc and Pau ended up playing for Memphis and Los Angeles Lakers, but never together.
...Gasol was the first Spanish player to win the NBA title, with the Los Angeles Lakers on 2009, and repeated the following season. His brother Marc and Serge Ibaka later lifted the NBA trophy with Toronto in 2019.

...Gasol led Spain to its first World Cup title in 2006 and was chosen the tournament MVP despite missing the championship game against Greece due to injury.
