Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade has started building its team for the future by signing experienced point guard Nikola Ivanovic for the next two seasons. Ivanovic (1.91, 27 years old) brings a wealth of know-how form his seven seasons since 2012 in the 7DAYS EuroCup with Buducnost VOLI Podgorica of his native Montenegro. During that run, he debuted in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with Buducnost, playing eight games of the 2018-19 season with averaged of 7.0 points and 3.6 assists. Those numbers are consistent with his 92-game EuroCup career, during which Ivanovic has put up 9.2 points and 2.5 assists per game. He helped Buducnost reach the quarterfinals this season before losing to eventual champion AS Monaco. Ivanovic started his career in Mornar Bar and has gone abroad from Montenegro to Mega Leks in Serbia for one season, 2015-16, splitting the following one between AEK Athens of Greece and Capo d'Orlando of Italy.
