ALBA Berlin ensured that homegrown talent Malte Delow will remain with the club for four more seasons after signing the guard to a his first professional contract. Delow (1.94 meters, 20 years old) cracked the ALBA rotation last season, his second with the senior squad. He averaged 1.6 points in 23 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague appearances and 3.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 38 German League games. Delow, who first joined ALBA when he was 12 years old, is playing with Gemrany's Under-20 team this summer.
“I am happy that I was able to sign my first professional contract with ALBA and that I can continue to play in my hometown,” Delow said. “The decision to stay at ALBA was very easy for me: Here I find an optimal sporting environment in which to develop myself at the highest level over the next few years. It's also great fun to be part of the culture that ALBA has created here. I can hardly wait to play in front of many fans again in the Mercedes-Benz Arena.”
