The second team to hold its preseason Media Day ahead of the 2021-22 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season was Zenit St Petersburg on Tuesday. That came on the heels of Zalgiris Kaunas opening Media Days for the new season on Monday.

During Media Day, all the teams participate in promotional video shoots, official photo sessions, feature interviews and the like, while also including fans in the fun over EuroLeague and club social media outlets. One of the main attractions of Media Day traditionally is to see recently signed players in their new jerseys. In the case of Zenit, that meant Jordan Loyd, Mindaugas Kuzminskas, Shabazz Napier and Connner Frankamp as well as two players returning to St Petersburg after previous stints with the club, Sergey Karasev and Dmitry Kulagin.

With Media Day in Kaunas, the preparations for the EuroLeague season are officially underway. In the coming days and weeks, the remaining 16 teams will also host their sessions just in time for the start of the season on September 30!
