Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul addressed its rash of injuries to frontcourt players by signing center Jehyve Floyd away from Panathinaikos OPAP Athens on Tuesday. Floyd (2.03 meters, 24 years old) averaged 2.5 points and 2.1 rebounds over 10 EuroLeague games in a reserve role for the Greens. It is his first season in the competition.
Floyd, who has signed a deal until the end of the current season, started his career with MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg in 2019 but joined Larissa in time to start the Greek League regular season. He became the Greek League's top shot-blocker (2.2 bpg.) that season. Last season Floyd suited up for Hapoel Galil Gilboa, where he averaged 11.4 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 36 Israeli League, leading that competition in two-point shooting percentage (74.2%). He started the 2020-21 campaign with Promitheas Patras but left shortly, playing in just one 7DAYS EuroCup game.
