FMP Zeleznik of Yugoslavia took all the honors it could on the last night of the ULEB Cup regular season as it stomped visitng Pivovarna Lasko 81-62 to win Group B and finish with the highest record of any team. That top record, 9-1, came with only a single blemish, a road loss to second-place Pamesa, the Spanish League leader. Zeleznik's victory had the effect of dropping Lasko to 4-6, so it finished in fourth place. Zeleznik's well-known agrresive fullcourt defense disarmed the guests. Ognjen Askrabic ruled the show with 17 points and perfect ballhandling and shooting. Vanja Plisnic added 11 pointsand Ivan Zoroski 10 for Zeleznik. Primoz Kobale was Lasko's best scorer with 11 points and Ermal Kuqo finished with 10 rebounds.

Askrabic scored 9 points in the first period. Zeleznik finished its 10-0 run in the first minute of second period leading 21-11. Lasko shooters had a real bad night. They had so much troubles with Zeleznik defense, which allowed them only 38% on two-point shots before the break. In the middle of the second period Zeleznik lead 30-15, later it was 44-24 with 1 minute left. Vladimir Popovic made a triple for Lasko in the last second for 44-27 to end the first half.

Veselin Petrovic returned the triple in the very begining of the third period and Zeleznik continued with a 13-6 run to a 57-33 lead. Lasko was on their knees and Zeleznik finished third period ahead 65-38. In the begining of the last period, Vanja Plisnic dunked for the largest diference, at 68-40. After that Zeleznik head coach Aco Petrovic changed the starters and players from the bench finished the game. Lasko did not increase its two-point shooting accuracy, finishing the game with a discrete 39% (18 for 46). Each team had nice support from the bench - Zeleznik 38 points, Lasko 34 - but the visitors had got only 28 points from their starters.
