Head Coaches

CHOMICIUS, VALDEMARAS
Unics
"It was a very difficult game for us. As a matter of fact, we have experienced two unlucky defeats the recent week from Power Electronics in the Eurocup and from Lokomotiv in the Russian League, which made us come across a very complicated psychological situation. We expected that the game against Hapoel would be very difficult and we took it seriously. The game met our expectations and I’m pleased, that we have won it. The game was very important for us. You can judge this upon the fact, that Loncar was injured, but he nevertheless played this game, trying to show his best."
GOODES, GUY
Hapoel Jerusalem
"The game can be split into two parts. In the first one we were focused on the game, showing good offense and safe defense, but in the second one we lost easy balls, acted not so aggressive in offense and not so safe in defense. We lost a good chance to defeat UNICS here in Kazan. The only positive thing about the result of the match, in my opinion, is the difference, which is not so large. I don’t mean to say, that it will be easy for us to play back those 7 points at home, but judging upon the way we were playing in the last quarter, the present result could have been more unpleasant for us."

Players

KUZYAKIN, ARTEM
Unics
"Hapoel Jerusalem is a very strong opponent, a fast athletic team, very well built. It was very difficult to stop them even here, at home. Although we did a good job in the third quarter and thanks to that, I believe, we managed to gain the victory."
OHAYON, YOGEV
Hapoel Jerusalem
"We started the game in a good way. We were quite good and aggressive in defense and made our opponents lose some balls. Unfortunately, the picture was completely different in the second half, especially in the fourth quarter, when we did not prevent UNICS from winning the game. I think Popovic and Lyday played a good game. We expect a difficult game in Jerusalem and we will try to play much better to win at home."
