Fox Town Cantu remained unbeaten in Group A after topping Artland Dragons 68-81 on the road in Quakenbrueck, Germany. Pietro Aradori had an outstanding performance with 29 points on 7-of-9 three-point shooting, Joe Ragland added 13 points with 7 assists and Maarty Leunen scored 12. Brandon Thomas was the main man for Artland with 13 points , David Holston collected 11 points and 7 assists and Kenneth Frease scored 10.

Leunen from beyond the arc gave an 11-15 advantage to Cantu early in the game. Michael Jenkins from downtown made it 20-26 and a layup from Michael Wenzl fixed the score at 26-30 for the visitors at the end of the first quarter. Stefano Gentile from long distance raised the difference to 26-35, while Round 1 MVP Pietro Aradori, also from three, created a double-digit cushion for the first time, 30-40. Chad Topper answered with a triple to make it 35-40, but the guests continued their magic from downtown with Aradori and Joe Ragland to go ahead 37-51. A connection between Brandon Thomas and Wenzl reduced the difference to 42-51 at halftime. A Thomas jumper and layup kept the home team close, 54-60. A Leunen slam assisted by Roberto Rullo made it 54-62, Guido Grunheid dunked twice for the 58-62, and Uter’s layup opened the last quarter at 58-65. Topper hit a three, but Aradori from mid range established again a double digit cushion, 61-71. Holston tried to stay alive from the foul line, 68-75, but Aradori finished the game by scoring consecutive three pointers to seal the Cantu win and his amazing night.

Artland Dragons Quakenbrueck
"In the first half we didn't do a good job on defense. That was not the start we wanted to have against Cantu, which is the best offensive team in our group. Although I must admit that they hit some tough shots. In the second half we made some adjustments and played better defense. We only allowed them 30 points in the second half which is very good. Down the stretch we had too many turnovers – 7 in the fourth quarter. If we don't turn the ball over in four of these situations and score 8 points, it's a new game."
SACRIPANTI, PINO
FoxTown Cantu
"In the start we were too soft on defense, Artland almost scored on every action. We didn't run after their shooters. In the second half we changed our defense and played a full-court-zone to stop their shooters. In the third quarter we had some problems on offense. Artland played strong and didn't make it too easy for us, because they are a good team. But I'm really happy that we won and are still unbeaten. Advancing to the next round is very important to us."
