Moore scored four points as Fehervar jumped ahead 8-1. Panin’s three-pointer was Novgorod’s first basket. Hobbs knocked down a three-ball to push the lead to 13-6 and then a 6-0 run gave the hosts a 21-11 advantage. The gap was down to 23-18 after one quarter. Fehervar’s lead was 32-25 on Hobbs’ next three-ball when the guests turned white-hot from long range. Panin hit three of Nizhny’s six three-pointers during an 8-22 run over the rest of the quarter for a 40-47 cushion at the break. Brezec opened the second half to increase the advantage to nine points before Juhos would get Fehervar to within 46-52. Antonov answered with a three-ball and Dimitriy Khvostov also hit from long range in an 0-9 run for a 46-61 lead. Juhos knocked down a trey and Kemp had four points to bring the deficit to 55-61. Novgorod led 59-66 after three quarters. Khvostov nailed a three-ball to make it a 10-point lead before Hobbs hit a trey and Kemp trimmed it to 64-69. Nizhny punched back with Brezec scoring and then Luke Babbitt getting a steal and dunk for a 64-73 lead. Babbitt made it 70-79 with five minutes left. Novgorod turned the ball over three straight possessions to allow Fehervar pull within 76-79 with 1:22 minutes to play. After an Ivan Savelyev free throw, Hobbs turned the ball over, resulting in Petr Gubanov hitting two foul shots with 35 seconds remaining for a 76-82 lead. Moore scored for the hosts but Babbitt iced the game with two free throws with 20 seconds left for the final 78-84 scoreline.

"First I congratulate Nizhny. They didn't play their best, but they were very, very efficient on the three-point line. They showed why they are leading our group. They are a very good team, solid and they are among the best teams in the competition for sure. With their solid defense they made our life very difficult in the first game. But now we started better, we were fluent in offense. We made them look so good for minutes. I think their three-point efficiency changed the image of our game. I think we gave 100%, but their three-point shooting changed everything and gave the image that we were bad. As I said to my team in the first half, I think it was our best first half as a team in the whole season. They dominated the second half because they are better. And we managed to compete with them, and we had a chance in the last quarter to take the lead. I have to tip my hat to my players, they played their hearts out; they played with faith, believed in what we have done. We were close, for us it is a very big reward to be close to a team like Nizhny. I am not happy with the result obviously, but I am happy with the improvement of the players and the improvement as a team. Congratulations to the opponent for this match and for the whole season. Good luck for them."

"I want to congratulate to my team for the second win on road. We knew that this would be a very difficult game for us because I know Coach Frade. He is very good, he is an excellent coach. After our win this weekend I started to prepare my players that this won't be an easy game. We saw the last game how they played against Ankara. I focused my players on some details of the game, like one-on-one, to control the game and not to let the ball go easily. Some moments we did some things good, but definitely we weren't our best. We started the game softly, not as we had planned. In the first quarter we had problems with the result, but in the second quarter we woke up, we controlled the game. At that moment I felt that we couldn't lose the game. Congratulation to the coach and his team for a very good game, they are going up."

"Congratulations to our opponent, they won a very good game. We started in good rhythm, we were able to score, but we had problems in defense, we allowed a lot of open shooting opportunities to the opponent. Carlos asked us at halftime to improve in defense, I feel that we can did that. We made some small, stupid mistakes and gave a-10 point lead to Nizhny. I think we improved a lot we can't make these mistakes against a stronger team. "

"We played a really hard game, it was very tough for us. We knew that the Hungarian team is a difficult opponent, because this was the second game against them. They played excellent at home, so we prepared for this. As the coach said, we started softly, but after that we controlled the game. But in the last seconds we made some errors and the game became close. I am glad we won."
