Head Coaches

MALJKOVIC, BOZIDAR
Lokomotiv Kuban
"There are not many players on our team that have ever played in such an important game. Moreover tonight they played against such a strong team like Khimki, which has national team players. Certainly our opponent has more experience, which helped them to overcome our pressure from the very beginning and to score 46 points the first half. After that we intensified the game and began to play better. But unfortunately we failed to bridge the gap we lost in Khimki a week ago. "
KURTINAITIS, RIMAS
Khimki Moscow Region
"First of all I would like to say that Lokomotiv played very well tonight. Lokomotiv coach Malkovic is a very strong strategist with great experience in such games. The battle Lokomotiv gave us tonight is an example for all the teams... As for my guys I would like to thank them for getting us to the Eurocup Finals. We are the host of the competition’s final, which imposed double responsibility on us. Tonight we have taken one more step towards our dream – winning the Eurocup."

Players

BYKOV, SERGEY
Lokomotiv Kuban
"Before the game started, we felt the pressure of these 9 points lost in the first meeting. It affected our game and led to out 16-point deficit at some moment. Coach said to play our game without looking at the score. His directions helped us find the right manner of the game. We were encouraged thank to our fans who pushed us hard. We battled till the very end, but we lacked just a little for the total win. "
TRAORE, ALI
Lokomotiv Kuban
“This was a difficult game. We are happy we won, but to win by 4 point was not enough to help us. We needed to win 10 points in order to participate in the Eurocup Finals. It’s a pity. All the team and myself thank our fans who cheered us tonight. Thank you really!”
FRIDZON, VITALY
Khimki Moscow Region
"I am very happy to reach the Finals. Besides, it will take place in Khimki, so that’s particularly nice. We carried on our aggressive game in the first half. We started the third quarter great and took a 16-point lead, but after that we took many rash shots and led Ali Traore score several and-ones. Moreover our big players had fouls and couldn’t play with the aggression they did before. "
