U18 Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius captured the crown at the Euroleague Basketball ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT Kaunas and is bound for the ANGT Finals in Belgrade after beating U18 Stellazzurra Rome 55-76 in the Kaunas final. Marek Blazevic paced Rytas with 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Sarunas Valunta had 17 points and Deividas Sirvydis scored 16 points. Rytas pulled away for good in the third quarter, allowing just 10 points. Rytas becomes the second team to advance to the ANGT Finals at the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four after U18 Divina Seguros Joventut Badalona, which won the ANGT Ciutat de L’Hospitalet tournament. The last time Rytas won a qualifying tournament was at ANGT Siauliai in 2013. For Stellazzurra, which finished as the runner-up in Kaunas, Paul Eboua posted 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Aristide Mouaha opened the scoring for Stellazzurra, but the Italian side turned the ball over twice in going scoreless in the next 3:24 minutes as Rytas went ahead 2-9. Back-to-back turnovers from Mouaha resulted in Rytas layups and a 6-16 lead. Three-pointers from Valunta and Mykolas Astrauskas helped push the margin to 11-23. The gap was 14-25 after 10 minutes. Rtyas held Stellazzurra scoreless for nearly four minutes as it increased the advantage to 19-37. Stellazzurra could not get stops and a three-pointer from Valunta put Rytas up 24-44. Stellazzurra was able to score 6 straight points to make it 30-46 at intermission. Stellazzurra had no answer for Blazevic in the third quarter as he scored 7 points in a 2-15 Rytas run to soar ahead 32-61. Stellazzurra managed a pair of baskets, but Rytas answered with the next 6 points for a 30-point lead, which becam3 40-69 after 30 minutes. Stellazzurra held Rytas scoreless for the first three minutes of the fourth quarter, but could not cut much into the deficit and trailed 46-73 with 4 minutes to play. The game had already long been decided by that point and Rytas raised the trophy afterwards.
