"First of all, congratulations to Milan for the win. We never felt we were controlling the game. We bounced back due to our energy in the fourth quarter, a bit because of Jaycee's [Carroll] shots and the defensive feeling that we were breaking their rhythm. Even in the first half, when the game was balanced, the feeling was that we were behind them. As I always say, it must be something to learn from, for the future. They played a good game, very solid, and we trailed until the third quarter. We managed to change the situation a little bit, starting from our defense and the pressure of not letting the game go, but from the beginning until the fourth quarter, we had the feeling of stepping with the wrong foot. We had a busy calendar and have to quickly move on. We know that due to COVID-19, we don't play this weekend but next week we start a streak of games which will be very demanding. We have to recover and think of the next game against Crvena Zvezda. I am sure it will be as difficult as this one."
MESSINA, ETTORE
AX Armani Exchange Milan

"We have so much respect for Real Madrid, and we knew that they were coming out very aggressive. Two teams that were missing key players, and I think everybody in my team made a step forward. Of course, we are very pleased. I think we never won here as a club or it maybe happened once many years ago. It is a big win for us and now we need to regroup. We are a little bit short in the rotation because we have two big games next week, as always. My players deserve to relax and enjoy a great win, and the coaches will go back and watch film. I think that so far, we are playing a very good EuroLeague. We dropped a couple of games at home that everybody expected us to win, probably including us, but the visiting team came, played hard and won. But we have won here, in Istanbul, against Bayern... we are doing well, I think. Our goal is always to make the playoffs. It is going to be very hard, because the competition is extremely high, but we will see. We will go game by game and see what happens."

"Of course, I want to congratulate my players. They played a really complete game. Two teams with important absences faced each other, and my players managed to give a little bit more to step up for these missing players. After last week, in which we were killed on the boards, we won on rebounds tonight and that is very important. It gave us confidence in certain moments of the game.”

"We just wanted to be aggressive and move the ball. We know from our scouting report that if we moved them a little bit, we could attack and get some easy shots. We executed well. It is big - we started the new year with a win. We had a couple of tough games to close out the old year, so we just want to build some momentum going into the new year, try to pick up where we left off early in the season. We know it is important in the second half of the season for the playoffs, we just want to play hard and get some wins."
DATOME, LUIGI
AX Armani Exchange Milan
"I think we showed that we can compete against anybody, in the good and the bad, because also, down the stretch, we lost many games. This is a step forward. We miss big players but still were focused on the game and as I said at halftime, we took away those three-pointers. The guys were great in the third quarter to build the lead."
