Head Coaches

PLAZA, JOAN
Unicaja Malaga
"We knew we were playing against a very strong team, Greek Cup champion and a candidate to be in the top eight of the Euroleague. We wanted to play as good a game as the one we played tonight. We deserved to win. I think it was fair. We attacked and defended very well, very intense and accurate. We have to try to repeat in the next games all the things we did well tonight."
PEDOULAKIS, ARGYRIS
Panathinaikos Athens
"We had many problems in this game, especially in defense. We had problems with defensive rebounds and we had less control of the ball than them, with less chances of scoring. On the other hand, Unicaja scored many difficult shots and three-pointers. Unicaja players were very confident and defended well, they set the pace and got the victory. "

Players

TOOLSON, RYAN
Unicaja Malaga
"First of all, I want to thank our fans for coming to see us. I know it has been a difficult week, but them coming to see us and helping us to beat a great team like Panathinaikos is great. We practiced hard, focused and renewed our confidence to become the team that we want to be. We have been in a tough situation and I didn't play well in the Copa del Rey. I wanted to come here and show our fans that I want to win - and that we want to win as a team."
VIDAL, SERGI
Unicaja Malaga
"I am feeling more comfortable at the point guard position; I already played point guard at youth levels and also in Vitoria and Madrid. It is a very important win to bring our confidence back and to make our fans be with us, too. We have to look forward and try to compete to reach the playoffs. It was a difficult week, but the team practiced really well, knew what it had to do and put it in practice on the court. We have to keep our feet on the ground, knowing that some teams are a step ahead of us. Still, if we play like this we can compete and if you compete, you can win."
BRAMOS, MICHAEL
Panathinaikos Athens
"It was a very intense game. Both teams knew how important winning was and that could be seen on the court. In the first half we were more accurate on offense and we defended well. After the break, both teams have kept the level and the game was even. The last quarter key for them. They were very accurate from the three-point line and that was vital for their victory."
