U18 Partizan Belgrade captured third place at the ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT Qualifying Tournament - Marko Ivkovic Belgrade with a comfortable 83-61 over U18 Cedevita Zagreb. Milos Glisic poured in 39 points to go with 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals for an index ranking of 49. Boris Latinovic added 10 points for Partizan and Srecko Gasic picked up 8 points and 12 rebounds in the win. Luka Barisic paced Cedevita with 20 points and 10 rebounds while Antonio Jordano scored 12 points.

Toni Perkovic knocked down a three-ball to start the game for Cedevita with Glisic scoring at the other end. Marko Cosic gave Partizan its first lead 5-3. After Barisic put back an offensive rebound for Cedevita, Glisic scored 6 straight points to push Partizan ahead 15-7. Cedevita tried to stay close with Barisic hitting a triple and Jordano making it 17-14. The margin was 19-14 after 10 minutes with Glisic having scored 16 points. Gliisc continued to roll with 2 baskets and Stefan Adzic’s triple finished a 11-0 run to make it 28-14. Lukas Tomas finally scored Cedevita’s first basket of the quarter at the 6:33 minute mark, and Brzica Varga made it 28-18. Cedevita went scoreless for nearly the next 5 minutes and Glisic hit 8 points in a 15-0 run to go ahead 43-18. David Setka stopped the surge with a basket and it was 45-23 at intermission.

Gasic opened the second half with Perkovic hitting a trey at the other end. After Latinovic extended the lead to 53-28, Jordano nailed a triple and Barisic hit a layup to trim the deficit to 20 points. 53-33. Cedevita could not come up with the defensive stops as Latinovic knocked down a three-pointer and Gasic made it 60-33. Cedevita made one final push to get back into the game with a 1-13 run to pull within 61-46. The lead was 63-46 after 30 minutes. Partizan scored the first 7 points of the fourth quarter to increase the advantage to 70-46. Barisic hit Cedevita’s first basket with a three-ball and Varga made it 70-53. Glisic knocked in 2 more three-balls and the gap was 76-55 with 4 minutes to play. Aleksa Popovic extended the lead to 83-57 with less than 2 minutes left.
