Ratiopharm Ulm led from start to finish, making another step towards clinching the first place in Group C, downing Paris Levallois 56-48 on Tuesday. Ulm already qualified for the Last 32, improves to 7-1 as it now holds a 6-game winning streak, while Paris drops to 2-6 and is all but mathematically eliminated. Ulm was without Pet Guenther, Edgar Sosa and Keaton Nankivil, but it opened a double-digit lead in the first quarter. Paris came within 31-29 early in the third, however, the hosts used an 11-0 run to pull away to 48-34, and behind its defense never looked back. Will Clyburn collected 10 points plus 8 rebounds to lead in victory. Adam Hess had 7 points plus 5 rebounds, while Cameron Long contributed with 6 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Daniel Ewing netted 18 for Paris, while Landing Sane added 9 in defeat.
Ulm took control from the get go, as Jonathan Maier scored twice for 8-0 lead. A pair of quick baskets from Will Clyburn, and a three-pointer from Matt Howard made it 17-6. Paris got its offense going at the start of the second quarter, with a jumper from Daniel Ewing and a triple from Landing Sane for 19-13. But Philipp Schwethelm answered with a three-pointer for Ulm, and Till Joenke contributed with couple of basket in a 7-0 run for 27-13. The visitors cut it to 31-21 at halftime, thanks to a triple apiece from Malaye Ndoye and Ewing, before opening the third quarter with a 0-8 run. Ewin and Andrew Albiciy sunk triples to get Paris within 31-29. After Cameron Long initiated 6 straight points for the hosts, another three-pointer from Ewing kept the visitors within 37-34. But Adam Hess hit a triple to spark an 11-0 run. Hess added another jumper, while Schwethelm and Howard contributed with layups for 48-34. The hosts enter the last quarter up 50-38, and but the visitors put together 0-7 run, with Albicy sinking a triple for 52-45. But Ulm allowed only one point in the next 4 minutes, while Trent Plaisted made couple of layups to seal the deal.
