With a convincing victory over Ovarense, Olimpija has taken the lead position in Group C. Led by the excellent point guard Sani Becirovic with 27 points, the Slovenian team didn't have any problem to beat its rival. Olimpija was superior in all aspects of the game, clearly dominated the rebounds, had better percentages in 2-point and 3-point shots, and ended the game surpassing 100 points in a European competition for the first time since 1992, when they beat Zalgiris 103-89. Olimpja was ahead all the time on the scoreboard (22-16 in minute 8), but the excellent game of forward Sahin caused some trouble for the home team. The entrance of Petar Arsic put things back in their place. In the 16th minute, Olimpija was ahead (28-18) and in the next three minutes, increased its advantage to 46-30 and the game was decided. The crowd abandoned the Tivoli Arena happy, but aware that Ovarense was not a good enough rival for their team to determine its true possibilities.
