Maccabi's First Team didn't make it to the Final Four after 3 appearances in a row, but the junior team had a very good debut in the El Corte Inglés Euroleague Junior Tournament.

Maccabi had some troubles with Mirza Begic (215 cm, 18) that scored 8 points in the 1st quarter and dominated the paint on both ends, 29-31 to Olimpija after 2 quarters. Maccabi switched to zone defence that limited Olimpija to only 7 points in the 3rd quarter, took off with a 7-0 run in the first 3 minutes of the 4th and decided the game. First win to the Yellow Juniors, 65-55.

Avi Ben Chimol was the MVP of Maccabi scoring 9 of his 18 points in the last quarter. Maccabi will probably miss in the next games Yaniv Simpson that was injured in his leg during the last quarter. Mirza Begin was the best player of Olimpija with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. Luka Marolt had a great game as well with 13 points and 16 rebounds.
