Igokea Aleksandrovac played spoiler in eliminating Lukoil Academic Sofia from the Last 32 with a 74-61 victory at home in Group E. Nemanja Gordic paced Igokea with 16 points off the bench while Sergerio Gipson had 13 and Milan Dozet 10 as the winners improved to 3-6. Lukoil dropped to 3-6 despite 17 points from Alando Tucker with Jure Lalic adding 10 points in the loss.

Aleksandar Yanev scored 5 points as Sofia built a 6-9 lead. Branko Jorovic answered with four straight and Dozet added the next five in building a 15-9 advantage. Dozet nailed his second triple and Gipson also was on target as the Igokea lead grew to 21-15. It was 23-17 after 10 minutes. Bozhidar Avramov cut the margin to two points and two Dimitrios Verginis free throws gave Sofia back the lead 27-29. The guests went on an 0-9 run to increase the cushion to 29-37. Igokea had it down to 35-39 at intermission. Gipson and Gordic combined for the first seven points of the second half for a 42-39 lead. After a Sinisa Stemberger three-ball made it 46-43, Davin White answered with a long ball and two free throws for a 47-48 lead. It ended up being the guests’ last advantage as Igokea closed the quarter with the final six points for a 53-48 cushion. A Verginis triple got Sofia back to within 57-55. But the hosts responded with an 11-3 run for a 68-58 margin. Tucker stopped the surge temporarily with a free throw and put back to pull the gap to 68-61. But Sofia would not score the final 2:27, failing to convert on its final five possessions as Igokea won going away.
