Real Madrid was not challenged in its second game of the Torneig de Básquet Júnior “Ciutat de L’Hospitalet in breezing past host team CB L’Hospitalet 87-43 to improve to 2-0 in Group A. Ignacio Diez de la Faya paced five Real scorers in double figures with 13 points while Guillermo Mulero had 12, Andrej Magdevski and Jonathan Barreiro both scored 11 and Jonathan Kasibabu added 10 points. All 10 Madrid players who played scored at least five points and grabbed at least two rebounds. CB L’Hospitalet dropped to 0-2 despite 12 points from Xabier Gomez. Madrid opened the game with the first eight points before Gomez finally put the host team on the board with a three-ball. The lead grew to 3-13 and the last time L’Hospitalet was within single digits was at 6-15. Madrid was ahead 8-21 after the first quarter. Five different players scored as Real opened the second quarter on a 1-16 run for a 9-37 lead. A Gomez trey trimmed the margin to 19-43 at the break. The Madrid cushion went over 30 points on Magdevski’s long ball to make it 23-54 and his next triple later in the period sent the lead over the 40-point mark, 27-68. The margin grew to 43 points and was 28-70 after three quarters. The advantage grew to as many as 48 points in the last quarter during which L’Hospitalet would not get closer than 42 the rest of the way.
