Banvit BK Bandirma finished the game with a 15-2 run to secure a 101-82 victory at home over s.Oliver Baskets in Eurocup Group D. Sammy Meija’s 23 points paced five Banvit scorers in double figures with Chuck Davis adding 18 points, Kalin Lucas 14, Vladimir Stimac 13 and Kenan Bajramovic 11. The hosts, who trailed by 12 points in the first half, improved to 1-1 in the group. The guests from Wurzburg dropped to 1-1 in despite Dwayne Anderson hitting for 20 points, while Jimmy McKinney had 13 points and Oliver Clay added 10 in the loss.

s.Oliver nailed its first four three-point shot in staving off nine points from Stimac as the game was even 16-16. Anderson scored eight points in a 0-10 run as the German guests pulled ahead 16-26. Anderson and Lamont McIntosh also hit three-balls late in the quarter as s.Oliver led 22-32 after one quarter. McKinney’s triple pushed the advantage to 27-39 when Banvit came roaring back with a 25-6 surge to take a 52-45 lead. And the home team’s advantage was 54-50 at the break.

Banvit started the second half strong and increased the cushion to 63-54 before McKinney and John Little knocked down long balls to pull within 63-62. Bajramovic would score six straight points and Safak Edge drop a three-pointer in a 13-4 push to give Banvit a 10-point lead again, 76-66. The advantage was still 76-71 after three quarters. Edge and Izzet Turkyilmaz both nailed long balls early in the fourth to increase the gap back to 11 points – 84-73. s.Oliver had one more comeback, with McKinney’s long ball trimming the margin back to 86-80 with 4:49 remaining. But Meija scored seven straight points to start the decisive 15-2 run to finish the game.
