Topsportschool came back in big fashion to claim the first win at the Siauliai Nike International Junior Tournament on Thursday against KK Cibona Zagreb by 79-89. The Croatian team started leading, but a great third quarter allowed the Belgians to complete a big comeback and dominate for good. The win puts Topsportschool atop Group A with a 1-0, while Cibona starts with a 0-1. Sander Van Caeneghem led the winners with 21 points and 8 rebounds, Ismael Bako added 15 and 9 boards while Vincent Kesteloot also added 15 for the winners. Marko Arapovic paced Cibona with 25 points, Lovro Mazalin had 20, David Skara 16 and Bruno Skokna 11.

Cibona started the game dominating the situation thanks to Bruno Skokna's points, however a last three by Ismael Bako allowed Topsportschool to make it 27-18 after 10 minutes. The second quarter was rather balanced as Topsportschool found its rhythm. Vincent Kesteloot paced the Belgian teambut Marko Arapovic did the same with the Croatian team to keep Cibona at a safe 50-39 at the break. Things turned around in three, as Topsportschool regrouped and had flowing offense, especially from the arc, for a 2-16 run that closed the third period - with two straight triples, of course - for a 64-67 Topsportschool edge. In the final quarter, Topsportschool kept on increasing the lead little by little with Bako slamming twice in a row for 73-85 with less than two minutes to go, while Cibona kept struggling from the arc.
