USK Future Stars Prague opened the Kaunas NIJT Qualifying Tournament in style by thrashing Porsche B Akademie Ludwigsburg 68-49 in Group A on Friday morning. Krystof Chaloupka paced the winners with 21 points. Ondrej Senhal added 16 while David Skranc had 12, 10 rebounds and 7 steals for Prague. Mahir Agva led Ludwigsburg with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Lucien Schmikale had 10 points while Jan Niklas Wimberg added 11 boards for Ludwigsburg. Agva gave Ludwigsburg its only lead of the game, 0-3. Senhal, Skranc and Chaloupka combined for all points in a 7-0 run and a layup by Petr Ropek soon gave Prague a 14-7 lead. David Ratajczak tried to change things with a layup but Skranc and Chaloupka soon made it a double-digit lead, 19-9. Agva and Simon Kutzschmar brought Ludwigsburg within 20-13 after 10 minutes. A jumper by Schmikale gave Ludwigsburg hope, 22-17, early in the second quarter. It didn't last long, however, as Jakub Jokl and Sehnal took over late in the first half and a dunk by Senhal fixed the halftime score at 38-21. Free throws by Chaloupka capped a 13-0 Prague run right after the break. Back-to-back layups by Mares soon made it a 24-point game, 49-25. Nothing changed since this moment, as Prague kept a 56-32 margin after 30 minutes and never looked back.
