Lietuvos Rytas finished the Ciutat de L'Hospitalet tournament in the 5th spot following an 82-70 victory over KK Split in the 5-6 classification game on Wednesday evening in L'Hospitalet, Spain. Rytas dropped the first game of the tournament in overtime, but won the following three enough only for the 5th place. KK Split finish the tournament in the 6th place. The team will follow the final game to see which side will succeed as the tournament champion. After a close first quarter it was time for Rytas to create its first run and enter the break up by 46-33. Despite a great scoring stretch of Split from the arc, Rtyas found the way to control the game and entered the closing quarter with a promising 70-50 difference, leaving Split the chance to cut on the margin until the final buzzer but not to put the margin in danger. Jonas Valanciunas produced his best offensive display in the tournament with 33 points without a single miss in his 10 attempts inside the arc. He also added 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Rytas used to absence of Split's top scorer Toni Katic who sat out after three big offensive displays so far in the tournament. Nevertheless the Croats found 31 points by Bruno Markulin who hit 7 three pointers in 13 attempts, and 21 by Filip Najev but it wasn't enough against the dominating force of Rytas who controlled the boards 32-22.
