Zvezda stuns defending champs

U18 Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade took a solid first step in the opening game of the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament Finals with a 66-81 win over defending champ U18 Rytas Vilnius. A close first quarter saw then Zvezda pull away to play with a slim cushion that let it finish the job in the last quarter with a 12-20 partial despite a 3 of 11 from the arc at the end of the game. Vukasin Masic and Nikola Manojlovic led the winners with 13 points apiece, while Azuolas Tubelis and his 27 points and 12 rebounds were not enough to lead Rytas to the win.
