Zalgiris Kaunas won its second game at the Siauliai Nike International Junior Tournament on Friday againt Audentes Sports School, 78-99, and will have to battle against CSKA Moscow in a winner-takes-it-all game for the top spot in Group B and a berth in the title game Saturday. Zalgiris is now 2-0 while Audentes dropped to 0-2 and is out of the race. Dainius Chatkevicius led the winners with 26 points, Karolis Sarukas added 16 and Lukas Aukstikalnis and Haroldas Saprykinas nailed 10 apiece. For Audentes, Saimon Sutt led the way with 19 points, Silver Jurno had 18 and Egert Haller 10. Zalgiris rolled in the first three quarters as the lead of the Lithuanian team kept growing by the minute. At the break, Zalgiris already dominated 38-53. In teh third period, Zalgiris also took the partial score by 17-25 and in the final quarter, Audentes managed to trim the deficit a little as Zalgiris was already saving energy for an evening game against CSKA Moscow that would decide the finalist of the following day. Despite Zalgiris' discreet 18 of 29 from the line, the 24 turnovers of Audentes aginst a solid 10 by the Lithuanians, proved to be enough to secure the win.
