In the suburbs of Belgrade on Tuesday, 3,000 spectators saw Zeleznik play one of the best games of its history in Europe, beating Belgian champion Telindus Oostende by an incredible 40 points, 92-52, to raise its record to 4-1 in Group B. Ognjen Askrabic and Sasa Bratic scored 16 each for the winners and Reggie Freeman added 14 . Only Christophe Beghin with 14 and Rimantas Kaukenas with 10 points were bright spots for Oostende, whose record dropped to 0-4, leaving it with Cholet of Group D as the only ULEB Cup teams without a victory yet.

The game started with lot of physical play on the court and lot of turnovers. Zeleznik was playing better defense and the result was 10-2 run at the beginning of the first period. When Veselin Petrovic committed his third personal after only 7 minutes, it seemed that Oostende could surprise the hosts. But Sasa Bratic replaced Petrovic well and Askrabic blocked two shots in a single attack to preserve Zeleznik's advantage at 21-13 at the end of the period. Then the second quarter started with an 8-0 Zeleznik run. Freeman hit a triple from downtown for a 34-19 Zeleznik lead and the race was on. Another run of 9-2 boosted the Zeleznik lead to 43-21. The first half ended with 48-25 in favor of the hosts.

The third period was the real horror for Oostende. The visitors missed all their shots. Zeleznik played great defense, leaving the guests without a point for almost 7 minutes. Zeleznik made a 15-0 run in that time for a 67-29 advantage before playmaker Rimantas Kaukenas came to the court for Oostende and made couple of layups for 70-35 at the end of the third quarter. Kaukenas continued to play at a high level until the middle of the final period. But he was alone in Oostende team. Zeleznik was in an easygoing rhythm which was enough for 40 points difference at the end of the game.
