CSKA Moscow rallied from a double-digit deficit to down VEF Riga 77-81 and won third place at the Siauliai Nike International Junior Tournament. CSKA finished the tourney with a 3-1 record, while Riga dropped its last two games to leaves home at 2-2. After falling behind by 12 points early in the game, CSKA took control in the third quarter during which it scored 31 points. Moscow side entered the fourth quarter with a 10-point lead and held on for the victory. Pavel Sizov led the way with 19 points, while Sergey Zhulkov amassed 13 points plus 13 rebounds. Dmitry Edelkin also scored 13, while Mikhail Maleyko chipped in with 10. Anzejs Pasecniks had 18 points plus 8 rebounds for VEF Riga, Davis Geks and Kristaps Plavnieks added 16 points apiece, while Ivars Zvigurs scored 13.

Riga opened the game with a 16-4 run as Pasecniks hit two triples and Geks hit one as well. Sizov got CSKA going with 7 points in the first quarter, while Zhulkov and Edelkin combined for 11 points at the start of the second quarter to tie the game 31-31. Riga responded with another run during which Zvigurs hit couple of triples, and Plavnieks sunk one to give the Latvian side 44-36 halftime lead. However, it was all CSKA after the break. With couple of layups from Alexander Gankevich and a triple from Sizov, CSKA took its first lead of the game, 46-47, before Maleyko hit three times from downtown to extend the lead to 55-65. In the fourth quarter Riga came as close as 69-74, but free throws from Klyundikov and a layup from Zhulkov essentially sealed the outcome.
