INSEP recovered to beat USK Future Stars Prague 75-86 on Friday to raise its record to 2-0 in the Nike International Junior Tournament in Belgrade. The two teams were separated by just a single point going into the fourth quarter, with USK leading. The advantage on the scoreboard changed hands three times after that before a Cyrille-Eliezer Vanerot three-pointer and a Paul Rigot shot from inside put INSEP's victory beyond doubt. USK won the third quarter and the teams drew the second, but a 14-26 balance in the final period showed that INSEP had more in the tank. Damien Inglis was the standout for INSEP with a triple-double of 20 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Vanerot added 17 points, while Charly Pontens contributed 11 and Stephane Gombauld 10. For USK, Vladimir Nemcok took 21 points and was perfect on his three shots from beyond the arc, while Matej Svoboda had 13, Martin Peterka 12 and David Subert 11. INSEP holds a perfect record and tops Group B at the end of Day 1, while USK is 0-2 so far.
