Head Coaches

MITROVIC, ZVEZDAN
LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne
"Good defense, yes, but the offense was smarter [in the second half] than in the first half. We didn’t give them a chance to run fast break or in transition. We tried to stop this and play a full 24 seconds of offense. The players were really focused, but we really played very disciplined, that is most important for me."
KARASEV, VASILY
Zenit St Petersburg
"In the second half we stopped playing on offense like a team and we missed a lot of shots. And some players were frustrated. We have had a lot of trips - just road games, no home games. We came here after the VEF Riga game. But this is not an excuse for us. We are professionals and must do our best."

Players

NELSON, DEMARCUS
LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne
"Definitely our defensive intensity in the second half was very good. Offensively I think we were very good most of the night. We had some lapses in the first half when we were up 10 or 11 points. One or two turnovers led them into transition and then a couple of offensive rebounds and they got some three-point shots. Our focus was to cut those things off and to make it a half-court game for them and defensively we did that. This is a new year. I’m very motivated to have a good season with this team. We have a really good team. We have big ambition for this year."
PUSHKOV, ANTON
Zenit St Petersburg
"It was an equal game in the first half. The key moment was the third quarter when we gave a lot of chances to ASVEL. We can't lose this way, every point is important. We will show our best in the next games to qualify to the next round."
