U18 USK Future Stars Prague picked up its first victory of the EUROLEAGUE BASKETBALL ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT Qualifying Tournament Coin by knocking off U18 Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul 49-71. Radek Farsky led the way with 29 points for Prague, which improved to 1-1 in Group A. Jan Zidek chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Darussafaka dropped to 0-2 in the group despite Yavuz Gultejki hitting 20 points. Darussafaka shot just 28 percent for the game and made just 8-of-20 free throws (40 percent).

Gultekin opened the game with the first four points before Zidek’s three-pointer gave Prague its first lead 6-7. Zidek added two jumpers and the gap was 7-15. Farsky took over the scoring for a couple of minutes with eight points as Prague led 13-25 after 10 minutes. Marcel Batovsky added a three-pointer and Farsky poured in seven more points before another Zidek triple left Prague up 21-38. Gultekin responded with the next eight points - including two three-pointers to get Darussafaka to within 29-38 at the break. Darussafaka kept Prague bottled up for the first half of the third quarter but could only close the gap to 32-40. Farsky knocked down a three-pointer to start an 0-12 run over 5 minutes for a 32-52 advantage, and the gap was 34-55 after 30 minutes. Batovsky opened the fourth quarter with five straight points in pushing the advantage to 34-60. Gultekin tried to make the final result look a bit more reasonable with seven points in getting the deficit down to 41-62. But there was only 2 minutes left and it was much too little too late.
