A heart-stopping thriller decided the last semifinalist at the Belgrade Tournament on Saturday afternoon as Mega Vizura barely survived Partizan NIS Belgrade 79-82 in a winnner-takes-it-all duel. Mega Vizura ends second in Group B with a 2-1 record and Partizan will play for fifth place after making third in Group B, 1-2. Nikola Pavlovic led the winners with his 21 points, Vuk Karadzic added 19 and Radovan Dokovic 14. For Partizan, Vanja Marinkovic ruled with 32 points and 10 boards, Milos Glisic had 18 plus 12 and Ivan Bojanic, 10.

The teams stepped on the court as close as it could be with a 7-7 on the scoreboard. However, soon Mega Vizura took the court by storm and pulled away to a 13-23 first quarter lead as Radovan Dokovic led the collective effort with his 6 points. Partizan woke up in the second quarter but Mega Vizura was succeeding in maintaining its edge. The second quarter ended with a final 3-7 push for Mega Vizura that managed to increase their lead to 32-50 by the halftime break. The third quarter was another can of worms. Partizan came in totally renovated from the lockerroom and like a hurricane it managed to build a 10-0 run to start the period including a three by Vanja Marinkovic to make it 44-50. It didn't stop there. Mega Vizura looked shocked on court and Partizan used it to pull within two points, 55-57, in minute 28. but it didn't manage to complete the comeback in the period, 61-63 after 30 minutes. In the final quarter, it looked like the worst was behind for Mega Vizura even though Partizan did manage to step ahead with 65-63. However, a 9-17 run led by Stefan Simic and Vuk Karadzic launched Vizura to a 71-80 with two minutes to go. Another 6-0 for Partizan madethings close again at 77-80 entering the last minute. Marinkovic missed a three for Partizan with 26 seconds to go depite having had a great scoring game. After foul, Dokovic only scored one of his attempts for Vizura and on the other side, Ivan Bojanic conected his two attempts, 79-81 and 11 seconds to go. Karadzic hit one more free throw and missed the second to make it 79-82 in the end and send Mega Vizura to the semis.
