Head Coaches

SEKULIC, ALEKSANDER
KRKA Novo Mesto
"I want to thank the visiting coach for his congratulations. The match was difficult and strange. We both had centers with foul troubles, so we had to change our approach to the game. We did that better than Azovmash. In the third quarter I was a little bit worried because despite the fact that we play well, we cannot win at home. But my players came together at the right moment and played well on defense and smart on offense. They pulled off the win, which our supporters really deserved."
PETROVIC, ACO
Azovmash Mariupol
"I want to congratulate Krka for entering the Last 16. They earned it because of two away victories. We dropped out of this competition because of game with Krka in Mariupol. We were well prepared for today's game and we did everything to win it. We had the opportunity, because we played a great third quarter and won it 21-9. In the first half we had some mistakes, but the game was interesting nonetheless. With our two experienced centers -- (Hasan) Rizvic and (Ratko) Varda -- on the bench because of fifth fouls and the fatigue of the other players, our play fell off and Krka got a great game from (Jura) Balazic to win. Some fouls were called too tightly. We had the same problems in Mariupol where I was kicked out in the sixth minute of the game for the first time in my career."
