Head Coaches

LASO, PABLO
Real Madrid
"The team was not aware of the difficulties of this game. We won easy there and today wa snot the same. It was a game with a fast pace where we could all see all the good shooters. We didn't perform in defense as well as we would have wanted but there were other positive things like the work of Ibaka, especially in offense which helped us compensate a little. About Rudy, he has a big blow on his left knee and we will have to perform tests on him."
BOZZI, GIOVANNI
Belgacom Spirou Charleroi
"The game was different from the first one. We improved a lot in offense compared to that game some weeks ago. Our 60 percent in free throws was a bad thing but we want to keep competing the rest of the Euroleague. We have a strong desire to win more games and show a good level."

Players

POCIUS, MARTYNAS
Real Madrid
"Today was the proof that there are no easy games in the Euroleague, especially in this group. It was a tough game but nothing that we didn't know beforehand. Every duel will be more complicated than the previous one. Charleroi played good basketball with notable defense at some points and fast play. We knew that they were tough, it didn't surprise us. Being 4-2 is great and especially in such a strong Euroleague. I am happy with my performance even though team is always first."
IBAKA, SERGE
Real Madrid
"We are worried about Rudy. It was a tough game and the best thing out of it is the win. This kind of games is useful to learn. Charleroi showed today that they are a team which is not easy to beat. I was comfortable on court tonight, confident. I am getting closer to the role that is asked of me. I know the systems better and I think I am improving."
WELSCH, JIRI
Belgacom Spirou Charleroi
"I don't know what happens, but we just cannot seal the deal, be it because of our mistakes or good actions by the rival. We are in good dynamics and despite the 1-5, we have lost the games by few points. Most of them at least. I think we can be happy of being here and playing like this. We knew the Euroleague would be difficult from the beginning, we opened against Real Madrid and played a bad game. But from there, we improved a lot and we were close to winning games. We know that being in the Top 16 is complicated now, bt there are four games left, three at home, and we will give it our all. I am happy of being in a club which, despite being not so big, works well. We are a solid team."
HAMILTON, JUSTIN
Belgacom Spirou Charleroi
"Same old story as in the last four weeks. We are too close to winning the games but it just doesn't happen. I think however that we are showing to be a great team, which can compete and with a good roster despite the losses. We are 1-5 now but we have to keep working and try to win as many games as possible."
