Unicaja Malaga captured its second straight victory in Group B of the ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT, opening the second day of action in Rome with a 91-52 win over Armani Junior Milan. Viny Okouo and Rares Uta both had 17 points as five Unicaja players scored in double digits. Romaric Belemene-Dzabatou and Carlos Corts both tallied 12 points and Jorge Turbica added 11 points for Malaga, which improved to 2-0 in the group. Milan dropped to 0-2 despite Davide Toffali and Manuel Di Meco both scoring 10 points.

Okouo scored seven points in helping Unicaja open a 14-2 lead after five minutes. The advantage was 19-5 before Milan brought it down to 19-8. But Unicaja closed the first quarter with an 8-0 surge for a 27-8 cushion after 10 minutes. Umberto Vigano and Di Meco both nailed three-pointers in trimming the margin to 27-14. But Milan would not get closer the rest of the game. The advantage was 34-19 when Malaga went on a 10-0 run for a 44-19 lead. Armani trimmed the deficit to 22 points and was trailing 52-25 at the break.

Unicaja increased the lead to 32 points early in the third quarter, going up 59-27. Milan was able to cut the margin down to 61-36 but Unicaja went on a 12-0 run and was up 73-38 after 30 minutes. The Spanish side scored the first four points to expand the advantage to 77-38 and Milan would not get closer than 37 points the rest of the way. The cushion was a high as 44 points down the stretch.
