Yifeng Heng - JT Team China - NIJT Final Four London 2013Team China collected its first win on Day 2 of the 2013 edition of the Nike International Junior Tournament by overpowering Lietuvos Rytas 66-57 on Friday afternoon at the London Soccerdome outside The O2 in the British capital. With its maiden win, Team China improved to 1-1 and maintains a chance to qualify for the title game from Group A, while Rytas dropped to 0-2, and will play its last game on Saturday. On Day, 3 Rytas will take on Crvena Zvezda while Team China faces Club Joventut Badalona. Yufeng Xu led Team China with 22 points and 10 rebounds and Jinmeng Yang added 10. Deividas Kumelis paced Rytas with 17 points and Augustas Suliauskas followed with 9. After a close first quarter, Team China connected on 10 points in a row to take a 24-15 lead in midway through the second quarter on the way to a 33-19 difference at halftime. The gap grew to 16 early in the third quarter before Rytas climbed back and entered the fourth quarter within 46-38. However Xu led his team back to double-digit advantage and set the score on 55-41 with five minutes to play; Rytas did not recover.
