Real Madrid picked up its second straight victory in Group B of the Euroleague Basketball Nike International Junior Tournament - Milan as the Spanish team handled host side Armani Junior Milan 71-42 on Friday to improve to 2-0. Waly Niang collected 14 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks while Santiago Yusta hit for 14 points, Andrej Magdevski had 13 and Andres Rico chipped in 12 points in the win. Madrid will finish Group B play on Saturday against Zalgiris Kaunas. Milan dropped to 1-1 in the group despite Carlo Fumagalli scoring 13 points. Diego Flaccadori was held to 11 points and Alberto Cacace went scoreless after combining for 31 points in Game One. Milan grabbed the lead to start the game and was up 5-3 in the first minute. But the Madrid defense allowed just one basket the rest of the quarter and used a balanced attack to reel off a 15-2 run for an 18-7 lead after 10 minutes. Milan fought back into the game with a 9-3 spurt to cut the deficit to 21-16. But Daniel De La Rua scored five points in a 9-2 Real answer and a 32-18 advantage, which was 32-21 at the break. Fumagalli hit the first five points of the second half as Milan cut the Madrid cushion down to 32-26. But Real hit the next six points and then closed the quarter on a 10-0 surge to lead 48-30 after three periods. Flaccadori scored the first basket of the fourth quarter to trim the gap to 16 points - which was also as close as the host team would get the rest of the game. Madrid would push the lead to 29 points with the closing basket.
