GS Medical Park raised its record to 4-1, qualified for the Last 16 and continues fighting for first place in Group E with PBC Lokomotiv Kuban, which plays Wednesday. Sopot fell to 1-4 and was eliminated. GS Medical Park gave a lesson in team basketball, with nine players scoring between 8 and 14 points and distributing 30 assists - tying the second-highest total ever in a Eurocup game - among themselves. Boni Ndong led the charge with 14 points and Cenk Akyol had 13. Engin Atsur and Jamont Gordan had 12 each, Furkan Aldemir 11, Milan Macvan and Ender Arlan 10 each. Atsur was the chief distributor with 8 assists. Sopot was led by Adam Waczysnki with 17 points, while Sime Spralja and Przemyslaw Zamojski had 11 each. Frank Turner dished 11 assists for Sopot. GS Medical Park shot an impressive 18-for-31 from downtown and had only 4 turnovers. Galatasaray's 18 three-pointers and 30 assists were both its best-ever totals in a Eurocup game.

Sopot kept pace in the first quarter as Turner, Zamojski from downtown and Filip Dylewicz had the visitors as close as 11-9. Ndong started a 6-0 run then but Zamojski and Spralja shared 3 three-pointers as the first quarter ended 25-21. The difference in the second quarter was that GS Medical Park kept scoring at the same clip, with everyone involved. Another 6-0 run between Gordon and Ndong meant the first double-digit lead, 31-21. And though Sopot brought the difference down again, a flurry of threes by Jaka Lakovic and Akyol suddenly had GS Medical Park up 46-32. The hosts poured it on with 10 more points in the first half's final 2 minutes, including Akyol's third triple and a last one by Atsur, to take over completely, 56-36, at the break.

In the third quarter, GS Medical Park was content to trade points with Sopot. David Hawkins started with a three-pointer, to be joined by Gordon from the same distance, while Ndong's basket made it 71-50. Waczynksi and Spralja kept up Sopot's end of the scoring bargain until 76-56. That's when Marcin Stefanski's layup and a four-point play by Waczynski finished the quarter with GS Medical Park'slead having shrunk a bit, to 76-62. A 7-0 run to start the final quarter ended all speculation as a triple by Arslan and a layup by Lakovic got the lead back over 20 points, 83-62. The shots kept pouring as Lakovic made it 99-71 on a three-pointer. The hosts kept shooting until Arslan dropped their 18th shot from the arc as the fans in Istanbul enjoyed their team going over the century mark on its way to the Last 16!

Head Coaches

ATAMAN, ERGIN
Galatasaray Medical Park
“Congratulations to my team. We have played great basketball tonight and took a comfortable victory. We played aggressive defense in the second and fourth quarters, and thanks to that we scored easy fast break points. We shared the ball great on offense, as seven players got to double figures on points. Our assist number, 30, also proves it.”
NIEDBASLKI, MARIUSZ
Trefl Sopot
“We knew Galatasaray that is one of the top teams in Eurocup and today, they showed us how to play great basketball. In the first half, we made a couple of bad shots and the margin increased to 20 points. I would like to thank Galatasaray for giving us a basketball lesson and my team for how they played in the second half.”

TURNER, FRANK

“Like our coach said, Galatasaray is one of the best teams in Europe, not only in the Eurocup. We have to give credit to them. We rushed a lot on the first half and then lost the control of the game. Congratulations to Galaasaray.”
