MARKOPOULOS, SOULIS
PAOK Thessaloniki
"Congratulations to my players for their great effort in bringing out a lot of passion and energy against an opponent with a deep roster. It was a very tough game for us; we had to find what the weaknesses of the opposing team were and target them. We tried not to let them kill us and at the end we were vindicated for the way we played. Congratulations because we played the way we should have. They changed their defense two or three3 times, but we were ready for them and with good defense kept them at low scoring levels. We hope that game by game we are going to have good performances like tonight's."

"It was a very tough and important game because it was a road game against a tough and very good team. PAOK has been having a very good season, they lead the [Greek] league, they have been playing very well in the Eurocup and they began the game well with some very tough shots. At the end we had a chance of winning, but PAOK was better at the point, they made some very tough three-point shots, which may have been our mistake since we did not play very good defense on them, but they also have very good players for this position, and I believe this was the key to their victory."

PAYNE, MARK
PAOK Thessaloniki
"Tonight we executed our game plan better than the previous games; we did exactly what we had planned at practice. Last game had left a bad taste in our mouths and we tried to remain focused and not let them get any breathing room to come back into the game. They turned the game in the beginning of the second half, but last week's flash back is what kept us going. We did not want to allow turnovers to give them fast breaks and let them find rhythm. We remained focused and held together and that's what gave us the victory. We cannot worry about what other teams are doing in the group, we can only control what we can control, so we only focus on our team and we'll see what comes of it."
SHULER, JAMAL
Khimik Yuzhne
"It was a tough game against a very good team that shoots very well and they also had a very good crowd that gave them a lot of boost. PAOK's roster is a very good one and includes some veteran players that bring a lot of experience to the team. Our group is a very tough one, each team has the chance of winning it and I think that the second part of the group is going to be even tougher because we all know one another by now. We will keep working and we'll see how it plays out."
