Skyliners beat Partizan for second win

U18 Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt led from start to finish and secured its second victory at the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament Munich by beating U18 Partizan NIS Belgrade 55-68 in Group A. Len Schoormann collected 17 points in leading the way for Skyliners, who finished the group with a 2-1 record. Jordan Samare tallied 16 points and 11 rebounds for Skyliners, who could still get into a three-way tie in the group if U18 FC Bayern Munich beats U18 Maccabi Teddy Tel Aviv in the final game of the group. Partizan finished with an 0-3 mark in the group even though Dorde Pazin picked up 18 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals and Dusan Tanaskovic had 12 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Schoormann scored 9 points as Skyliners opened the game with a 0-13 lead. Tanaskovic finally scored after nearly 4 minutes but the lead swelled to 2-20 and was 7-24 after 10 minutes. Tanaskovic picked up 4 points in an 8-0 spurt to pull within 15-25. But Schoormann tallied 6 points in a 0-15 Skyliners surge to go up 15-40 and the gap was 18-44 at the break. Pazin and Tanaskovic combined for 9 points as Partizan cut the deficit to 31-48. Skyliners pushed back with a 3-7 surge and was up 36-55 after three quarters. Luka Tarlac did all he could to get Partizan within striking distance with 9 points as the margin was down to 50-62. But the game had already been decided.
