"First of all, I want to congratulate the Valencia team on the win. We had our chances. I think the way we opened the game, obviously, in the first half it was completely ... we saw two different teams. It has happened a couple of times this year. We couldn't sustain, we couldn't go through the full 40 minutes, and playing a good team like Valencia, you pay the price. Honestly, I can't pick the game when we didn't play hard. Usually coaches are hiding behind effort. We talk about the effort wasn't there. Effort on most nights, like tonight, wasn't a problem. I think we played hard. But on this level you have to play smart and you have to play well. So, two moments were crucial this game. At the start of the third quarter, we couldn't handle their pressure, and we had to call a quick timeout. They were on an 8-0 run then, I believe. And then crunch time. You can play on a high level for 34 minutes, and we were still competing, but you have to play well. You have to stick with the game plan when you're tired and don't have enough air, you still have to stick with it. And in crunch time, obviously I know [Klemen] Prepelic well, and he was a game-changer. He didn't play many minutes, but the 13 points that he put in tonight were very valuable points. We should have a bitter taste in our mouth because I think we played hard, we had a good preparation, we knew what we had to do, we knew their strengths and weaknesses, but we couldn't sustain for 40 minutes. That was our problem."

"We understood that it was most important to change our physical work in the game, change the defense, fight for rebounds, change a lot of things. For us, it was very important to show our best mentality. Once this mentality changed, we found inspiration for Sam [Van Rossom], for [Klemen] Prepelic and other players, and this is the way for victories in the EuroLeague."

"We talked at halftime about us having to play a little more dynamic on offense because we were too static, above all in the second quarter. We started the game OK, but then in the second quarter we didn't play well on offense and they were able to run because of our bad offense. We had to adjust there and the second half was better. To open up the court, get space inside and then move the ball outside, it's important that you score your threes. So it was important in the second half that our shots went in better and we could play more comfortable on offense."
DUBLJEVIC, BOJAN
Valencia Basket
"First of all, I feel happy because we won the game. I am happy for the team because we showed character in the second half. We started to play tougher. And we won. In this competition, every away game is important, so I think we are on a good road and we'll think now about the next one. What was really important was defense. When we play tough defense we can play good offense."
