Aleksandar Aranitovic would have to make a lot of room in his trophy case after leading U18 Mega Leks Belgrade to the 2015-16 Euroleague Basketball ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT Finals in Berlin next spring by winning the EB ANGT Qualifying Tournament – Torneo Citta di Roma on Tuesday. Aranitovic was voted tournament MVP and headlines the all-tournament team. Aranitovic dominated in the championship game against U18 Stellazzurra Basketball Academy Rome with 28 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals, but it was just another in a series of big games for him. Aranitovic, who played an integral part in the title games of the last two ANGT Finals with Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade, averaged 19.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4 assists and 2.5 steals over four games in Rome.
Joining him on the all-tournament team were Sandro Mamukelashvili from Stellazzurra, Alessandro Pajola of third-place side U18 Virtus Bologna, Nemaja Dincic of U18 Armani Junior Milan and Ablaye Sow of U18 Unicaja Malaga. Mamukelashvili averaged 14.5 points on 8 of 18 three-point shooting (44.4%), 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals for the runner-up. Pajola tallied 7.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 3.3 steals per game. Dincic and Sow averaged double-doubles; Dincic posted 15.8 points and 11 rebounds per game and Sow was worth 16 points and 12 rebounds.
